YOU MUST BE SURE YOU’RE REGISTERED TO VOTE NOW!

If you have a cottage in Wentworth, but actually live in Montreal or someplace else, you can vote in BOTH places. Since Wentworth collects property taxes, then of course you have a say in how that money is spent. And if you live someplace else outside Wentworth, and even if you’re a  tenant there, then part of your rent is used by the landlord to pay property taxes there. This of course gives you a right to also vote there. If you only rent a cottage in Wentworth, you have the absolute right to vote. In other words, you are legally allowed to vote in BOTH places.

If you actually live someplace else, and only spend the summer in Wentworth, then the legal definition of your status is you are a RESIDENT of Wentworth, and DOMICILED someplace else. If you are Domiciled someplace else, then you have an AUTOMATIC RIGHT to vote by mail. (If you are domiciled in Wentworth, then you must give a reason why you need to vote by mail.)
