{"id":1020,"date":"2025-09-05T05:49:35","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T05:49:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.wentworthgazette.com\/?p=1020"},"modified":"2025-09-07T04:08:58","modified_gmt":"2025-09-07T04:08:58","slug":"by-law-2024-002-fines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.wentworthgazette.com\/?p=1020","title":{"rendered":"By-law 2024-002 Fines"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>CANADA<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>PROVINCE OF QU\u00c9BEC<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>REGIONAL COUNTY OFFICE<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>OF ARGENTEUIL<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF WENTWORTH<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>BY-LAW NUMBER 2024-002,<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p2\"><b>ARTICLE 18<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p2\">Any person who contravenes any of the provisions of this By-Law commits an offense<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p2\">and is liable, for a first offense, to a minimum fine of one thousand dollars ($1,000) and<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p2\">a maximum fine of two thousand dollars ($2,000), if the offender is a natural person,<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p2\">and a fine of not less than two thousand dollars ($2,000) and not more than four<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p2\">thousand dollars ($4,000) if the offender is a legal person.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p2\">The details for the payment of fines and fees imposed under this section and the<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p2\">consequences of failure to pay said fines and fees on time, are prepared in accordance<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"p2\">with the Code of Penal Procedure (RSQ, c.
